Quiz the next day, bring charged notebooks
As class started, even just walking in I knew that Matthew was going to pick me as the next blog writer. We first started class by Matthew reading his blog. (In my opinion it was really good) As Matthew finished his blog, Ms. Nakada and the class started to correct his blog.
Shortly after we corrected Matthew's blog, Ms. Nakada started to pass out a small cut out poem that we had to glue into our notebooks. Ms. Nakada read the poem to us out loud; she explained how she picks people to read out loud. Then, the class read the poem line by line. Ms. Nakada helped us understand the meaning of the poem, and we took annotations. She explained that the poem has deeper meaning than it seems to be. Then, Ms. Nakada asked us what makes the "Wild Geese" poem, a poem.
We then closed our notebooks and the poem, and we opened our table of contents to do Writer's Workshop. She walked us through the steps for the writing process.
We ended up taking our notes, and the day flew by.
