Week 11: Grammar/ Quote
The Outsiders
Hw: Read a book(100 pages by Monday)
I walked into class, sat down, and started to write down the agenda. Chrysta and Ameliana read their blog, and picked me. Then, Ms. Nakada told the class to get out their creatober, and start working. After that, we got out our English notebooks. This week's grammar was about citations, paraphrasing, and end notes which are different ways to source our evidence. The class then read our quote, by Toni Morrison, " If there is a book you really want to read, but it hasn't come out yet, then you must write it." We slightly shifted the conversation to books, and the novels we're supposed to write in November.
Then, we recapped our The Outsiders notes. In chapter 2 of the book Ponyboy had a flashback in the middle of a conversation with Cherry, and Cherry tries to explain. Ms. Nakada told us to pack up, and we were dismissed.
