Week 11: Song
The Outsiders
HW Read a book (100 pages by Monday)
I walked into class, sat down and wrote the agenda in my binder reminder. Once the class settled Chris and Hudson read their blog, it was a good blog because Ms. Nakada gave us a point. I knew Chris was going to pick me, but I wasn't fully convinced he actually would. I was partially right because before Chris picked me for the blog he took a couple seconds. Olivia had told me before that she would do it with me, she didn't help with the writing ,but it felt nice to have her next to me. I walked up to the table in front and sat down, I asked Ms. Nakada if she could set the computer up. I was interrupted by Branden. He said he wouldn't be able to watch the movie The Outsiders because he wasn't eligible due to his Us. Ms. Nakada told him that he should attend homeroom and do work so he wouldn't earn more U's. Finally, she set the computer up and I started on my blog.
Ms. Nakada then started on the song of the week which was "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman, which was about a girl wanting to change her life. I can tell Ms. Nakada really liked the song, because of the way she expressed how she felt towards the song. After we finished listening to the song we started on The Outsiders we were writing about the climax ,which was when Darry hit Ponyboy. We were about to start on chapter four when it was already time to start packing up. Ms. Nakada said we'll start chapter four tomorrow. Everybody started packing up and we left.
