HW: Read toward your IRP goal.

Today, Olivia walked into class knowing she was going to get picked for the blog since she had asked Angelina if she could pick her yesterday. Then, we took our seats and got our notebook out. After, Olivia realized that Melissa had moved to sit close to Noexi so she went to Christian. As she was talking to Olivia, Zoey was incredibly rude and immediately told her to leave so she did the opposite. Unlike Zoey, Norah actually asked Olivia to leave politely so she did. Olivia asked Christian if he could come sit with her in the front of the class and he did. But before that, Olivia asked Ms. Nakada if he could so we wouldn't get in trouble. As we sat down, Angelina started to read the blog. It was honestly very good and the class ended up getting a point.

As she finished, she said,"I pick Olivia" so Olivia said, "Christian you are coming to write it with me." As we sat down, Angelina asked Ms. Nakada if she could go to the main office and get another box of tissues since we had run out of them. Ms. Nakada said she could go to the office and she also asked Angelina to  take a phone pouch to the office. Angelina said yes and then she came back a few minutes later. Afterwards, we started to play the TED Ed video about the Golden Rule. While watching it, Ms. Nakada paused it to talk about empathy and compassion towards others. She mentioned that her close friend stopped being friends with some of her friends when they didn't show empathy or say anything to her about her brother that sadly passed away. Then, Ms. Nakada discussed that you shouldn't do to others what you would not like them to do to you. After, we continued to watch the video and learn about how the planet is getting hotter and hotter which will soon lead to full loss of water and worsened global warming. A few minutes later, the video was done.

During the video, Branden was focusing more on March Madness than the actual video and made several comments about teams that lost and won. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to put our English notebooks away and take out our book projects because it was time for the gallery walk. People started to get pretty chaotic and Hudson asked Ms. Nakada if Karen Armstrong was still alive or not. Ms. Nakada said that she was still alive. Olivia and I made our way over to our favorite people projects in the whole class. Zoey did a comic strip on a book called, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Norah did a beautiful illustration of quotes and things from her book, Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. We even have a photo of both of their projects.

As we got up to make our way back to the front to continue writing our blog. Like come on Zoey haven't you learned about the Golden Rule or have you not learned anything because you don't pay attention? Norah thank you for being so nice, you are so well behaved and the best friend we could ever ask for. After, we were told to put our chairs up and pack up, so we did. Anyway, this is again for sure better than Rahm's blogs and we will definitely get a point once again. Lastly, the bell rang and Ms. Nakada dismissed us. Also, we pick the power duo, Norah and Zoey.
