Week 9: Question
Reader's workshop
HW: Read toward your IRP goal & Book Project Due 3/19
I entered class, out of breath, because Rahm and I raced from Ms. Painter's class to Ms. Nakada's class. I headed towards my seat, and as I was about to sit down, Hudson whispered that he was going to pick ME to do the blog. We did the take a minute, which I wasn't really paying attention to since I was writing the agenda in my planner. Hudson and Brandon read their blog which I think won us a point. Afterwards, they announced that they were picking me for the blog, and I picked Ben to do it with me.
The question we got today was "Is it better/easier to lift up or punch down?" Which is when people in power either speak nicely to people below them, or are rude to people below them. What I believe is that it is 100% easier to make fun or talk down to people, but you should still try to be a nice person.
After everyone had enough time to answer the question, we got right into readers' workshop, which was surprisingly very quiet. At 2:08 I heard the faint sounds of people packing up, until eventually Ms. Nakada said, "Alright folks, you can pack up," and we all left.
