Homework

Read and write a poem a day!

I walk into class, take my seat, write down the agenda, and take out my English notebook. Ms. Nakada tells Carly and Caitlyn to come up and read their blog, but they inform Ms. Nakada that they had already read it yesterday. So, Ms. Nakada asked them who they chose but neither of them chose anyone, so Ms. Nakada asked everyone who didn't do their fifth blog to raise their hand, and I raised mine. So, I walk up to start the blog and I ask Jake if he wants to do it with me and he said sure so we both walked up and were about to start but Ms. Nakada told us to take the week 14 quiz and so everyone does. After I finish taking my quiz, I hand my computer to Ms. Nakada so she can sign in, and after she does, I begin writing the blog.

As Adrian starts on the blog, Ms. Nakada starts naming people who need to make up any quiz they haven't done. After, Ms. Nakada asked us to get out our poetry packets to read one. We picked the poem "Neither Time Nor Grief is a Flat Circle" by Christina Olson. We say that the poem is about how the author is depressed after her friend Andy died, and you can't just get rid of grief it.

Then, we pulled back to NaPoWriMo Submissions. We covered the second thing we must do, the Poetry Chapbook or Collection. The cover, aesthetics, and introduction is worth five points, the table of contents is worth ten points, and the collection would need fourteen to sixteen poems worth fifteenth points. Then, Ms. Nakada had us pack up and we left.
