The Outsiders/ School Trip
Homework: Finish The Outsiders by Monday.
I walked into class, sat down in my seat and started to write the agenda down. Then, Ms. Nakada called Adam up to the front of the class, for him to read his blog. Adam read his blog, and Ms. Nakada asked who had not written a blog yet, four of us raised our hands and from the four of us, I got picked. Then, we corrected his blog, but there weren't any errors so Ms. Nakada said that his blog was point worthy. Ms. Nakada then, told us to take out our English notebooks and start taking notes. Then, Ms. Nakada started to show us some of the banned books, and after seeing some books banned on that list, many of us were really shocked. Then, we answered the question of if we read banned books, and if we did which ones were our favorites. After we answered the question, Ms. Nakada started to explain the context of the song "Freedom" by Rage Against the Machine. Then, she asked us what the song was about, we all said that the song was about The American Indian Movement and the unjust conviction of Leonard Peltier. Then, we finished the notes, we all packed up, put our chairs up, the bell rang and we all left.
