Week 7: Song
Lit. Circle essays
HW: Essays due 3/2. Read toward IRP goal
I walked into class, and wrote the agenda down in my binder. Adrian and Noexi read their blog, and picked me. I looked at Chrysta and asked her to do it with me. Then, we listened to our song for the week "*** Flawless" by Beyonce featuring Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Then, we discussed the double standards of how women are treated compared to men that were shown in the lyrics.
We got sidetracked, and the class had some controversial statements about gender insults. Once we finished the conversation, we moved on from writing down the idea of the song to writing our essays. We started the rough drafts of our essays, then we talked about how to set up our essays properly. After we had some time to brainstorm what to write, we packed up and left once we were dismissed.
