AGENDA
Take a minute
Blog corrections
Week 9: Song
Reader's workshop
Homework: Read toward your IRP goal
I walk into class with a minute to spare. I rush to my seat and say hi to Jake. I sat down in my seat and grab my binder reminder out of my backpack. As I still write the agenda in my binder reminder trying to make it look nice, Ms. Nakada plays the take a minute of the week. I was only able to watch the last ten seconds of the take a minute.
Ben and Matthew read their fourth blog, Ben and Matthew originally picked Noexi for the blog but she already did her fourth blog. Ms. Nakada checked all the blogs written in the last month and called whoever did their fourth blog. At the end Norah, Jake and I were still standing. Ben picked ME to do the blog. I forced Jake to do the blog with me. I realized I haven't done the blog since OCTOBER!
I told Ms. Nakada that I haven't done my second blog yet. Ms. Nakada was in a state of shock with my statement. Now I have to write the blog until I have done my fourth blog, so I am writing until Monday :(. Also Jake has to write the blog with me tomorrow. BAD IDEA to tell Ms. Nakada that.
Ms. Nakada unlocks the chromebook and I start writing the agenda before Angelina took it the chromebook to start writing the first paragraph as I started to follow Ms. Nakada's talk on Dolly Parton being one of the nicest famous people.
Then, Ms. Nakada brought up the song of the week "9 to 5" Dolly Parton. The song was from the movie "9 to 5." As the song was playing, we listened and looked at the lyrics. I turned to see Matthew singing/lip syncing the song. The song was pretty good. Before we talked about the meaning of the song, we came to that the song was about having ambition for a better life and job.
After, we talked about the main theme of the week, about people coming together for being fairly paid and acknowledged for their work. A few minutes after Hudson told me to write, "Hudson wants the Pirates Booty." Next, we came to a shocking discovery that Sebastian doesn't like Pirates Booty (gasp)
Then, we transitioned to reader's workshop, in which neither of us got to read at all. Angelina got up and to check if Mr. Gravning was here. He wasn't here, so Angelina walked back. I kept writing the blog and Angelina asked Ms. Nakada if she may have a Pirate Booty. Ms. Nakada said yes and Angelina was filled with joy.
Then we ended the day and we stayed back a few minutes ago. And we pick.......
