Poetry Slam
HW: Start thinking about an original oratory!
Lilah and I walked into class, sat at our desks and wrote down the agenda. We watched the take a minute, and Ms. Nakada asked Nolan if he had read his blog. He told Ms. Nakada it was our turn to write the blog. We walked up to the desk in front and sat down. Once we started the blog, Ms. Nakada also played the song which was "Everybody's Free (to wear sunscreen)" by Baz Luhrmann. The class discussed what the song was about, the tone and some favorite lyrics. We discussed that the song was about, living wildly and at your best. After we talked about some more of the song, the class started to prepare themselves for the poetry slam. Soon after a few minutes of practicing we started our poetry slam. Once we finished listening to people reading their poetry we packed up, put chairs up and the bell rang and we were dismissed.
